Download and print:
Download the file you receive to your PC/computer.
Print out the pattern in A4
For best results, print only from a computer, not your mobile phone.
Print at 100% scaling. Or make sure to print without changing the size of the file, using your printer's settings.
Print the first page with the test square first! Measure it to be 2 inches (5.08 cm) on all sides. If the measurements are not correct, print again with different print settings until it measures 2 inches (5.08 cm).
Then print all the sheets with this setting.
Assemble the pattern sheets:
- Each sheet is numbered.
- All the sheets have a frame around which you must cut. A cliff line.
- These lines should be placed on top of each other.
- Cut only the left cut line and the top or bottom cut line. This will allow you to easily place all the patterns together.
- Use tape to attach them together.

Fabric recommendations
Morella can be sewn in many different qualities, and that's exactly what makes it so fun to work with. Same pattern, completely different mood.
Do you want a soft and romantic look?
Choose cotton poplin, thin linen or lightweight viscose. They drape nicely, are easy to press and give nice, clean edges.Do you want something more structured and marked?
Go for a slightly thicker cotton, denim, broderie anglaise or jacquard. This will give the collar more shape and make a clear statement.Do you want something elegant and ornate?
Satin, silk or chiffon give a lighter and more exclusive feel. Here, precise pressing and smooth seams are especially important.Do you have leftover fabric lying around?
Morella is perfect for small pieces. Contrasting fabric on the top and bottom can provide a subtle, finished detail that only you know about.Always think about how the fabric falls. Soft fabric gives a more relaxed look. Stiffer fabric gives more character. It's almost like architecture around the neck.
A little tip from us: if you're trying a new quality, sew a test piece in an affordable fabric first. That way you'll learn how the fabric behaves before you cut your favorite.
