How to sew: French seam

French seam is a sewing technique that hides the raw edges inside the seam, so that the inside of the garment is just as pretty as the outside, without any overlocking. You first sew with the wrong side against the wrong side, trim the edge, fold the fabric around and sew a new seam, so that the raw edges are closed inside. Perfect for thin fabrics and garments that will withstand washing and wear.
